St. Ann's Academy to Close at the End of the School Year

It was just reported in the Catholic Standard that St. Ann's Academy will  "suspend" (read close) at the end of the school year, due to low enrollment.

I had heard that they were below 200 students about 2 years ago, but did not know how bad it was.  Don't know what type of options the parents and the pastor were given, but the story was kept under wraps very well.

It is very sad to hear this, esp. since I believe a Catholic education -- a good solid alternative to the current public school system.   Once a school closes, the chance of it opening up is slim to none.
