Another Stupid Biden Quote: The Nation of Africa

Another classic moment from the highest ranking elected Catholyc, Vice President Joe Biden. (I know I can write a book about his stupid and at times, racist comments. And people talk about Dan Quayle.)
'There's no reason the nation of Africa cannot and should not join the ranks of the world's most prosperous nations in the near term, in the decades ahead. There is simply no reason.'

Africa is made up of over 50 independent countries.

Stupid Biden Quote

Once again, we bring you another stupid quote from the highest elected "Catholyc" in the United States: Vice President Joe Biden. I tell you, he is the gift that keeps on giving.

During his recent visit to China, he told the audience that he has had the opportunity to meet every major world leader in the last 38 years as an elected official. First, he has only been an elected official for 36 years (at the time of this speech), and two, he has not.

In addition, he compared himself to King George VI re stammering but considering the way this administration treats the rule of law, you would think that their authority stems directly from the right hand of God.

When are they going to put him back in the attic.

Stupid Biden Quote

Once again we bring you another STUPID Quote, from the highest ranking elected official in the US, who is "Roman Catholyc."

A man I’m proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!

Stupid Biden Quote

Once again, I bring you one of the more memorable quotes from the highest elected Catholyc in the United States: Joseph Biden.

When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, "look, here's what happened."

Interview with CBS News, September 2008. The problem is that Roosevelt wasn't president in 1929 and televisions were still experimental.

Stupid Biden Quote

Yes, we now bring you another stellar quote from the highest elected "Catholyc" official in the United States, Vice President Joe Biden:

"Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S."

Biden speaking about John McCain's economic policies at a US presidential election rally, October 2008 .

Georgetown to Honor Biden!

According to the Cardinal Newman Society:

On Wednesday, April 22, Georgetown University Law Center will host an event honoring Vice President Joseph Biden with the “Legal Momentum Hero Award,” in direct violation of the U.S. bishops’ 2004 policy against such honors to pro-abortion politicians.

According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, Biden "strongly support[s] Roe v. Wade.” Biden was the co-sponsor of the oppressive Freedom of Choice Act in the 102nd and 103rd congresses. He also voted for federal funding of Planned Parenthood and embryonic stem cell research, and against parental notification for minors seeking out-of-state abortions, a ban on abortions at military facilities, and a ban on human cloning.

Tomorrow’s symposium is sponsored by the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and Legal Momentum, a women’s rights advocacy group that sharply conflicts with the Catholic Church by promoting “reproductive rights,” advocating same-sex marriage and opposing abstinence-only education programs and pro-life crisis pregnancy centers. Legal Momentum was founded as the National Organization for Women's Legal Defense and Education Fund in 1970.

Catholics Against Joseph Biden

There is a new blog and I think that it is important for me to link to it:

(I would have prefered using "Senator Joe Biden" but hey, that is just me.)
I am looking forward to one central place for all things regarding Sen. Joe Biden and his faith.
Reminds me of the Catholics Against Kerry website during the last election cycle. I bought a couple of bumper stickers from them. They were defaced or torn off by the supposedly open minded liberals. I guess freedom of speech only goes so far with the radical left.

Okay, I know I need to say something about this...

The choice of Sen. Joseph "Obama is not ready at this time to be president" Biden has brought out a number of discussions on the various blogs about his faith and pro-abortion stance.

So, let me throw out my two cents (actually, a dime) and quote from FIDELIS:

“Barack Obama has re-opened a wound among American Catholics by picking a pro-abortion Catholic politician. The American bishops have made clear that Catholic political leaders must defend the dignity of every human person, including the unborn. Sadly, Joe Biden’s tenure in the United States Senate has been marked by steadfast support for legal abortion.

”During the recent Democratic primary campaign Biden said: “I am a long-standing supporter of Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to choose.”

Senator Biden is an unrepentant supporter of abortion in direct opposition to the Church he claims as his own. Selecting a pro-abortion Catholic is a slap in the face to Catholic voters,” said Burch.

Biden's own bishop, Bishop Michael Saltarelli of Wilmington, Del., has said that the issues pertaining to the sanctity of human life are the "great civil rights issues of this generation.”

Bishop Saltarelli denounced the notion that politicians can 'personally oppose' abortion, but refuse to pass laws protecting the unborn."No one today would accept this statement from any public servant: 'I am personally opposed to human slavery and racism but will not impose my personal conviction in the legislative arena.' Likewise, none of us should accept this statement from any public servant: "I am personally opposed to abortion but will not impose my personal conviction in the legislative arena,” said Bishop Saltarelli.I

In fact, Bishop Saltarelli made clear that pro-abortion Catholic politicians should refrain from receiving the Eucharist."The promotion of abortion by any Catholic is a grave and serious matter. Objectively, according to the constant teaching of the Scriptures and the Church, it would be more spiritually beneficial for such a person to refrain from receiving the Body and Blood of Christ. I ask Catholics in this position to have the integrity to respect the Eucharist, Catholic teaching and the Catholic faithful.”

Burch concluded: “The American bishops have instructed Catholic voters to consider many issues, but have characterized the defense of human life as ‘foundational’ and have explained that the issue has a special claim on the conscience of the Catholic voter. This means that a political candidate like Biden, because of his strong support for abortion rights, forfeits any claim for support despite his views on other issues like health care and the economy.”

Note: Bishop Satarelli is retiring and will be replaced by the Most Reverend W. Francis Malooly, D.D. on Sept. 8th. I pray he will be a forceful voice in the Church, esp. since Biden comes from Delaware - his Diocese.
