Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, reported an adjusted gross income of $407,009 in 2013, from which they contributed 5% to charity, or a total of $20,523, according to their 2013 income tax return, which was released by the White House on Friday.

Among that charity-total — $20,523 – a sum of $15,300 was royalties earned from Jill Biden’s 2012 children’s book, Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops. Excluding those book royalties, the Bidens’ charitable contributions of $5,223 equaled 1.2% of their income.

This is an increase, as he usually gives 0.2%.   

For a man who talks a great deal about compassion, you would think that the would be donating more.

Biden -- What a cheapskate!

The Bidens gave an average of $369 to charity a year for the decade before he moved to the Naval Observatory - about 0.3 percent of their income. Back in 1997, then veep Al Gore and his then wife Tipper gave $353.

Since becoming veep, Biden hasn't become much more generous. In 2010, he gave $5,350, about 1.4 percent of income. The national average is about three percent.

Vice President Joe Biden has told Democrats at a Minnesota fundraiser that he'll "strangle" members of the GOP who complain about the federal budget.

According to a pool report from Tuesday's event in Dayton, Biden was telling the crowd that Democrats know how to balance the budget. He said, "If I hear one more Republican tell me about balancing the budget, I am going to strangle them."

Maybe I should call the FBI and report him for making threats. Wouldn't that be a hoot.

Yes folks, it is that time to recognize the highest ranking elected official in the United States, who happens to be "Catholyc": Vice President Joseph Biden.





Now, many of us consider the term used in the video to be vulgar and an obsenity. For many in our culture -- rap artists, hollywood script writers, assorted Mafia members -- this is just part of their normal speech pattern.

However, have you noticed how silent the mainstream media is on this? If Dan Quayle or Dick Cheney had said it, you could be damn certain that the media would be talking about it for days. And, if you followed the story a bit, the Most Merciful's press secretary, when asked about it, said yes, the Vice President was right.

But I think that there will be a much more damage in the longer term.

Do you remember when Monica and Bill had their thing? It was reported on a number of occassions that teenagers were saying: "Hey, if the President of the US can do it with an intern, then what makes it so wrong?"

I can see teenagers now saying: "Hey the Vice President said it, nobody got on his case, so why can't I say it?"
