Amoris Laetitia (“The Joy of Love”) - Sowing Confusion Rather than Full Clarity

In some areas, it is strong and clear.  In others, it is clouded, will cause confusion and allow, in many instances, the right of one's conscience over the teachings of the Church.


Amoris Laetitia hopes to resolve the situations of many in the modern world, but is far more likely only to add further fuel to the holocaust. It doesn’t take a crystal ball to predict that once Communion can be taken by the divorced/remarried in some circumstances, it will soon be assumed licit by all. And – why not? – by people in gay relationships, who probably have an equally good claim to mitigating circumstances.

You can't say we did not warn you...the first shot...

The Obama administration is moving to rescind a federal rule that reinforced protections for medical providers who refuse to perform abortions or other procedures on moral grounds, an official said Friday.

A Health and Human Services official said the administration will publish notice of its intentions early next week, and open a 30-day comment period for advocates, medical groups and the public. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the official notice has not been completed.

I wonder where all of the Catholics for Obama stand on this one? Do they support it (as they support the great leader) or do they find this objectionable that those who claim to be the biggest supporters of choice, refuse choice to others?

ACLU files lawsuit against conscience protection rules...

Well, it has already started folks...

New conscience protection regulations from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have been challenged in a new federal lawsuit filed on Friday by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The HHS announced the rule change on December 18. The new rule reportedly clarifies the rights of health care providers to decline to participate in services to which they object in conscience. The rule will help protect those individuals and institutions in the medical field who object to abortion.

Acting on behalf of the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA), the ACLU filed a lawsuit in federal district court in the District of Connecticut. According to the ACLU, the suit argues that the rule significantly undermines access to essential family planning, reproductive and other health care services and information.

Sometimes, when you dance with the devil, the price is steep.
