An antiabortion group that mounted a six-month undercover investigation has released videos this week that raise questions about what might happen to a baby as a result of an unsuccessful abortion.
One video features a D.C. doctor, Cesare Santangelo, who said that in the unlikely event that an abortion resulted in a live birth, “we would not help it.” Santangelo was answering repeated questions from an undercover operative about what would happen, hypothetically, if she gave birth after an unsuccessful abortion.
I mean, technically, you know, legally, we would be obligated to help it, you know, to survive, but . . . it probably wouldn’t,” Santangelo is shown telling the woman, who was 24 weeks pregnant. “It’s all in how vigorously you do things to help a fetus survive at this point.”
Live Action president Lila Rose said the group’s videos expose “truly gruesome, illegal and inhuman practices.” She defended the tactics, saying undercover investigations are a powerful method to expose abuses.

Why don't you go publicize your to them? They can do something about it. Since they do not, but IN FACT enable and empower this horror, and since you call yourself "An Archdiocese of Washington Catholic" and are in communion (one body) with your Catholic Mayor, Bishop and Pope then the truth is that you too support and enable this horror.
A blog post does not wash your hands of guilt!

First, thank you for reading this blog and for submitting a comment (altough I will not post you comment about Msgr. Wells, it is inappropriate).
I don't know where you have been for the last few years, but if you have been a regular reader of this blog, I have highlighted these issues for the last few years. Sometimes, it has gained traction and made national media attention, and other times not.
I can tell you, that it has made an impact in the Archdiocese, due to the embarrassment factor. Is it enough. NOPE but we do what we can within the limits of our human ability.
I do it here, because it can reach a much larger audience than at my local parish.
If you feel that going to a local parish and handing out fliers is the appropriate method, please go ahead and pick a parish each week. Take photos. Then you can let me know what happens.
BTW, (1) I cannot be excommunicated for saying to Cardinal Wuerl or others that they are wrong on denying communion, etc. (2) I won't loose my job at a Catholic school.
