Senate SB566 now heads to the House of Delegares.

Well, on March 19th (St. Joseph's Day), the Maryland Senate passed SB566.

The vote was 30-17. Unlike other states DP laws, Maryland’s law extends to cohabitating couples over the age of 18. While the bill was entitled Health Care Facility Visitation and Medical Decisions, many of the Senators voted for it because it would provide benefits (tax dollars) to cohabitating opposite sex couples.

The bill now goes to the House of Delegates where the bill could still be rejected. That will not happen unless they hear from you.
