Well, it looks like no one in Hyattsville thinks that allowing dissenters to meet at a Catholic Church matters. Why should they, they have more important things to do, such as arrange for planes and tours in recognition of a red hat ceremony. In this week's St. Rose of Lima bulletin, Msgr. Paul Dudziak couches the words in describing the VOTF meeting. In the last bulletin, he stated that this meeting would send recommendations up to the American Catholic Council. This week, he just says that it is a group who is meeting to discuss the future of the Church. He also makes certain to put it in his weekly column, right up front. (If this is not an affront to the Archbishop of Detroit and all faithful Catholics, I don't know what is.)Here are just a couple of quotes from the statement from the Archbishop of Detroit, to remind Msgr. Dudziak and Cardinal elect Wuerl:- The American Catholic Council movement and its national gathering are not conducted under the auspices of the Detroit archdiocese, the universal Roman Catholic Church, or any entity or organization affiliated with the archdiocese or the universal Roman Catholic Church.
- The archdiocese wishes to commend and embrace all true efforts at Church renewal - the American Church Council's agenda is not such an effort. Some of the advertised speakers and groups organizing the effort espouse positions which are clearly contrary to Catholic faith, leading to alienation and estrangement from the Church.
- The Archdiocese of Detroit cautions any Catholic against participating in the American Catholic Council local listening sessions and national gathering in June 2011. Catholic parishes, schools, and institutions are not to host any meetings, gatherings, or "listening sessions" associated with the planning of the June 2011 American Catholic Council. Priests, deacons, and ecclesial lay ministers will want to avoid lending support to such a misguided effort.
I think placing it the front of the parish bulletin is his way of not only sticking it to me and others, but he is also trying to hide the true intent of this meeting. For shame Msgr. Dudziak, for shame.
You hear much about being faithful to the teachings of the Church, and yet, right here in the Archdiocese of Washington DC, the Voice of the Faithful (VOTF) is given a warm reception at St. Rose of Lima in Gaithersburg.
On April 22, 2008 a presentation was held at the St. Joseph Room (talk about adding insult to injury) by VOTF.
(This must be Dissent Week at St. Rose, since this is the second such event there. I guess with the Pope gone, the media shilling for Obama once again, pastors and their ministry leaders are going back to undermining the Church.)
You remember St. Rose from an earlier posting. One of their parishioner's is on the Board of Directors of Rent-a-Priest. Another dissident group.
What is Msgr. Dudzaik (the pastor) thinking? Maybe he isn't.
Here is he allowing a group that supports homosexuality, abortion, contraception, female priests and other dissident principles. The VOTF deceives faithful Catholics into believing it is a legitimate Catholic organization with slogans such as "support those who have been abused" and "support priests of integrity". However, the group is tied to dissident, radical, anti-Vatican groups, such as Call to Action and We are Church, which strongly reject Catholic moral principles.
Archbishop Wuerl needs to publicly admonish Msgr. Dudzaik and ban VOTF from any Catholic parish.
No wonder why the Church is in the state that it is in. Those whom are placed in authority are doing whatever they can to undermine it.

Yep, I missed the showing at St. Rose of Lima in Gaithersburg of For the Bible Tells Me So on Monday, April 21, 2008.Yes, this pro-homosexual film, is aimed that showing those who believe that homosexuality is wrong, that it is an acceptable lifestyle and is acceptable to God. Yes, there is even an interview with the Rev. Gene Robinson. Yes, the one and only Gene Robinson -- the first gay bishop of the Episcopalian Church. The ordination of which is splitting the Episcopalian Church.Now, can someone tell me why this is being shown in a Catholic Church? If we believe that that particular lifestyle is wrong, then why are they showing a film that says that this is an acceptable lifestyle? If this is a ministry that they is important (and I think that it is), then why are they not have a Courage Chapter?The Archbishop needs to admonish Msgr. Dudzaik for this sort of stuff. But he won't. Another parish in which the faithful are being led astray by their priest.
