VOTF - Dissent is Still Going Strong at St. Rose of Lima

A number of months ago, I put forth a series of postings on VOTF in the Archdiocese of Washington DC. Well, VOTF seemed to disappear for a bit, except for the VOTF Chapter at Holy Trinity in DC.

Well, it seems that dissedent groups are once again rearing their heads. St. Rose of Lima, which has done this before, is at it once again:

It is amazing when the Archbishop continues to ask those of us who are faithful to the teachings of the Church, that we have to tolerate this sort of stuff happening.

Is there anyone in Hyattsville watching? Is there anyone who really cares?

+++++++

Question: What does Barack Obama and Osama bin-Laden have in common?

Answer: Both have friends who have bombed the Pentagon!

Here's how it appears in St. John the Baptist's bulletin...No mention of VOTF.

"Transforming the Church"
- Rev. Phil Cover. "See I am doing something new! Nowit springs forth, do you not perceive it?" (Is. 43:18-19). This will be our starting point as we move more deeplyinto the meaning of Church and transformation,October 9, 7:30 p.m. St. Joseph Room, St. Rose of LimaParish, 11701 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg

Transforming the church?? What the heck is wrong with the church Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ founded??? How about they haul out their catechisms (if they even have ont) and study what the church teaches. Now that would be transforming.

Fr Phil Cover is a radical priest who favors womens ordination and continually blasts the heirarchy of the Church regarding the pedophile scandal. He should not be given a platform at St Rose or any Catholic church.

Adrienne - I think the problem is what thoughtful people see as a chasm between what Jesus DID teach and the performance and behavior of Church leadership.
