Kathleen Matthews, Chair of the Democrat Party in Maryland

Well, it seems that the wife of Chris Matthews, is now the chair of the Democrat Party in Maryland.

I wonder if she will take up the Tom Perez policy that abortion is the litmus test for all members of the party.

Will Fr. Potts, Fr. Scott and the other priests and deacons continue to allow her to receive Holy Communion?

You know the answer.   So sad.

Cardinal Wuerl Must Deny Communion to Tom Perez!

Some of you may or may not know, that the Democrat National Committee (DNC) chair is Tom Perez.  Mr. Perez is a member (at least the last time I checked) of Holy Redeemer parish in Kensington, MD.  However, I do know that he has sometimes, at least in the past, attended Mass at St. Michael's in Silver Spring.

According to Breitbart:

The little tent of the Democratic Party just got smaller, as DNC chairman Tom Perez has called for all Democrats to walk in lockstep with Planned Parenthood on the question of abortion rights, effectively ruling out the possibility of “pro-life Democrats.”

Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health,” Perez said in a statement. “That is not negotiable and should not change city by city or state by state.”

“At a time when women’s rights are under assault from the White House, the Republican Congress, and in states across the country,” he added, “we must speak up for this principle as loudly as ever and with one voice.”

Although the Democratic Party’s radically pro-abortion platform was galvanized in 1992, when the Party refused to allow the late Governor Robert P. Casey of Pennsylvania to give a speech against abortion at its National Convention, it has continued to harden into a fundamental pillar of the Party.

Yet in his address Friday, DNC leader Tom Perez became the first chairman of the party to demand absolute ideological purity on abortion rights, promising to only back Democratic candidates who embrace a woman’s right to choose.

I am calling upon Cardinal Wuerl, Fr. Hughes, Fr. Pineda, Deacons Davis and Dwyer and all those who assist with the distribution of Communion, in the Archdiocese of Washington and across the world, to deny him Communion for what he has espoused!

There is no need to parse what he has said.  There is no need to sit and chat with him.   He has made his views loud and clear!

Do not bring scandal upon the Archdiocese.  Stand with those who support LIFE and not DEATH!

God Spoke to Tom Perez, Labor Secretary

In addition to calling for an immigration overhaul, announcing his intention to use his post to favor union organizing, and declaring that God told him that “the labor movement is our brothers’ keeper,” Perez relied on a series of hollow talking points to repeat his call for a higher minimum wage.

To support his position, Perez reached deep into his theological acumen to proclaim “it’s not possibly God’s will that people working a 40 hour week should live in poverty.” Unfortunately, while reducing poverty is a worthy goal, even supporters admit that higher minimum wages do nothing to alleviate poverty.

A Non-Political Event my...

Well, it has been a while since the Catholic Standard wrote something that I really must wonder "What were they thinking?"

In the August 29th edition, Mark Zimmerman wrote a piece entitled:  Catholics need to help make 'the dream' a reality, panelists say.

What bothers me about the article is that Mr. Zimmerman sees this is a non-partisan event.

So, who "sponsored" this non-partisan event: Catholic Democrats, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Pax Christi, USA.

As you can see, all of these organizations are non-partisan in nature and the event was non-partisan, as it included a number of conservative Catholic groups.   The conservative Catholic groups were....  Oh, yes, there were no conservative Catholic groups.

And, who was one of the main panelists?  Tom Perez, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage Secretary of Labor AND a member of Holy Redeemer parish.  Supporter of Obamacare.

And who else spoke, well there was Ralph McCloud, the director of the USCCB Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  You remember Mr. McCloud, the treasurer for a pro-abortion Democrat in Texas.  You remember Mr. McCloud, the person who supposedly has verified that all those receiving money from CCHD are not in violation of Catholic teaching.  Yeah, right.

So, Mr. Zimmerman and the good folks over in Hyattsville...this event was just as bad as the actual anniversary of the March on Washington, in which it became a love fest for the Democrat Party.

How did a pro-abortionist/pro-homosexual marriage member of this administration get to speak at a Catholic venue?  Who approved of it?  Did anyone in Hyattsville know about this?

Is this what we support with our weekly donations?  No wonder why Obama and the Democrat Party are not scared of us, they know that we will invite them to our institutions, hire them to work for us and in general, allow ourselves to have our own Fifth Column.
