People across the country are OUTRAGED that President Barack
Obama is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at the
University of Notre Dame on May 17.

President Obama has attacked the sanctity of life -- a central
teaching of the Catholic Church -- on a WEEKLY basis since taking
office.

It's easy to understand why Obama would be eager to speak at Notre
Dame. He's looking for legitimacy with Catholics.

Obama can see how strongly the Catholic bishops are speaking about
the duty of Catholics to vote pro-life. He's trying to undermine
their teaching authority so he can win re-election in 2012.

But what on earth is University of Notre Dame President Rev. John
Jenkins thinking?

Why is Fr. Jenkins allowing this beloved Catholic institution to be
exploited by the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history?

Whatever Fr. Jenkins is thinking, we have to keep up the pressure
on him to drop Obama from the graduation ceremony on May 17.

Do THREE THINGS:

1. CALL Fr. Jenkins office.

Lots of people have sent e-mails. I've received copies of many
of these. But now we have to start making PHONE CALLS -- we
need to tie up the phones at N.D.

Fr. Jenkins' number is 574-631-3903. If you get a busy signal
or the voicemail is full, try again in a couple of hours --
or try again tomorrow.

2. JOIN the Fabebook group protesting Obama's appearance.

Some pro-life students at Notre Dame set up this group over
the weekend. If you have a Facebook account, please join the
new group -- already nearing 1,000 members:

3. CLEAR your calendar for May 17.

If Fr. Jenkins doesn't do the right thing and dis-invite Barack
Obama, pro-life groups from across the Midwest -- starting
with the Pro-Life Action League -- have pledged to protest.

So be ready to join a once-in-a-life-time MASSIVE pro-life
protest in South Bend, Indiana on May 17.

ND has not been "Catholic" for a long time now. This should not surprise anyone. They now share the blood that is spilt on the altar of false freedom.

Maybe it hasn't been "Catholic" for a long time. Some priests don't celebrate Mass properly. Sometimes a Eucharistic Adoration chapel will be unattended. Does that mean we should accept these abuses?! In addition to insulting the Blessed Mother by honoring Pres. Obama w/ an honorary doctor of laws, which is beyond my understanding, Fr. Jenkins has acted with flagrant disregard for the teachings of the Church, which teaches us that life is a sacred gift from God. In so doing, he has betrayed the students, alumni, and trustees of Notre Dame, and the bishops and Catholics of the US. He must be made to answer for his actions.

As a Notre Dame alumnus I am ashamed that my alma mater has sold its soul to the devil for publicity. I have contacted the campus Alumni Association to take my name off the alumni directory and not to contact me for contributions unless Father Jenkins rescinds his invitation. I hope other alumni will do the same. Notre Dame is not teaching their students to respect all life from conception to natural deaths which is a core teaching of the Church if she has President Obama as the commencement speaker. The University is tainting Our Mother's name.

Maybe we should all look at this a little differently! I truly believe this can be an opportunity to fight the culture of death with our most powerful weapon. By getting President Obama at Notre Dame we have the opportunity to protest with love. By demonstrating we are not angry or have hatred in our hearts by full of love. Imagine how powerful it would be when he starts to speak and everyone drops to their knees and prays the rosary for him. At the same time Catholics around the world can join in and do the same. What chance would he have against our Blessed Mother at her University? This will be more powerful then making signs, shouting negative comments, burning diplomas or boycotting the ceremony. We have this chance to show the world we are ready to fight for life with love…
