CNA and Wash comPost have Msgr. Rossi Story

Wow!

The Catholic News Agency and the Washington comPost have just announced that Msgr. Rossi has taken a leave of absence from CUA and they even mention his investigation by the Diocese of Scranton and Archdiocese of Washington.

What took them so long!

And not one word of thanks or credit to George Neumayr.

Catholic schools save U.S. $19.8 billion annually...

According to CNA, Catholic schools have saved the US over $19 billion annually.

Some of my earlier postings have discussed this. When I look at the elementary school associated with my parish, it saves government (Federal, state and local) over $220,000 per year (based on $11,000 per student per year, at an enrollment of 200).

By politicians allowing Catholic schools to close (and did you see the article in the Catholic Standard this week about southern Maryland -- told you so months ago), it only will cost the taxpayers more and allow more children to be put into failing schools.

Psst...rumor has it that there have been meetings in Montgomery County recently as well.

A Communications Director who Refuses to Communicate

Well, it seems that Susan Gibbs must be having a really bad time due to the Archbishop’s statements on the matter giving Communion to pro-abortion politicians’.

She was contacted by the
Catholic News Agency (CNA) on this matter and according to the article:

Susan Gibbs, Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Washington, said that she would not provide a statement. The reasons she gave for not providing a statement were that she doesn't consider CNA worthy of a statement and that she is "not interested" in providing one.

I must give a nod to
DC Catholic for pointing out this story.
