Catholic Standard gushes over MD Sen Mike Miller

The Catholic Standard, as usual, writes glowing articles about politicians but always leaves out some of the facts.

In this case, MD State Senator Mike Miller is has decided to retire after 33 years.  It is a gushing article about him, but they seem to leave out the fact that many bills supported by Planned Parenthood made it through the legislature.   Remember, in Maryland politics, if he did not support a bill, it would die.

Here is the praise by Planned Parenthood on the 2018 legislative session:

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 21)

To be honest, I never thought that I would have come to twenty (20) postings on Deacon Mark Asselin of St. Elizabeth's parish in Rockville, MD.  However, I have.

One of the things that I have noticed, among many others, is that he has no issue with criticizing conservative ordained clergy.  Under Mr. McCarrick and +Wuerl that would not have been immediately squashed/punished.  But under +Gregory, that is okay.

So, let's take a look at the latest from Deacon Mark.

++++

Wow, suddenly he is worried about law and order, when he remained silent when BLM and ANTIFA were attacking people, destroying businesses and livelihoods, killing and injuring police officers.

If liberal clergy did not have double standards, they would not have any standards at all.

Again, we see that Deacon Mark loves to seem to critiize the bishops and seems to get away with it under +Gregory.  Wonders what would happen to him if he criticized +Cupich or some other liberal prelate.

I wonder if he criticized Pres. Obama, who made approximately 2000 pardons in 8 years.  And talk about the Deep State/Swamp, guess who has been a federal worker for a number of years.

For all of the crimes committed under Obama and by Obama, this is what he has the nerve to retweet about.  Remember, if you like your doctor you can keep him and if you like your insurance, you can keep it.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 20)

Deacon Mark just keeps on giving and giving.  Heck, I may even dedicate this blog to his being both of the Deep State and the Deep Church.

So, let's take a look at some of his latest posts.

Deacon Mark, like most on the left, would prefer to give US citizens a paltry $600, while illegal aliens get $1800 and $3 million for Gender Studies in Pakistan, among other wasteful spending, instead

Again, we see another criticism of an ordained clergy.  If you were in Richmond, VA, you would have been chastised by your bishop.  However, it seems that under +Gregory this is okay, as long as the bishop is a conservative.

One of the things about Deacon Mark, is he loves to accuse the right of being Nazi's.  Here we have a tweet about architecture and attempting to make the really ignorant connection between Pres. Trumps order on architecture and Nazism.   Really silly and stupid.

Kinda interesting that he is blaming the President, when he works for the US agency that deals with cybersecurity.  You think that he would take some responsibility.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 19)

The Deacon Project was originally designed to take a look at the deacon's in the Archdiocese of Washington.  Very few have accounts, and even fewer are active, except for one: Deacon Mark Asselin.  He is assigned to St. Elizabeth's in Rockville, MD.

He is a prolific tweeter, either retweeting or tweeting/commenting on others.

As of this writing, he has deleted everything before Nov. 19, 2020, even though he has had his account for almost ten years.

So, let's take a look at some of his more recent postings.

So, just because America pays for the vaccine, according to Deacon Mark, we should not take care of our own citizens. Is he willing to delay his getting the vaccine?  Will he do the same for his family and loved ones?  Will he walk the walk or simply talk the talk.   Don't know.

Once again, he seems to be interested with someone on the right does something wrong.  But when you point out to him, as I did on a number of occasions about the left, he simply ignores it.

Once again, we see his siding with the criticism of the bishops.  However, let us remember that when the vaccines for polio and other diseases were created, things were much different in the research area.

Again, another public criticism of a bishop.  Do the folks in Hyattsville know or care about this?

Now, this one takes the cake.  Deacon Mark who has praised Dr. Fauci up and down, left and right, suddenly accuses him of lying.  Maybe his is being sarcastic.  Don't know.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 17)

It is amazing how much this guy tweets.  I might have to change the name of he blog to: What Stupid Stuff Did Deacon Mark Tweet Today.

The first tweet is pretty indicative of Deacon Mark, as he is very selective in his outrage about violence.   Throughout the rioting, looting and attacking of citizens by BLM and ANTIFA, he was SILENT.  In fact, he would attack the police when ever he had the opportunity to do so during the rioting and looting.  This is just one of many examples of his selective outrage.

I guess as long as it does not affect his paycheck or place of residence, it is okay.

Interesting that he had no problem attacking Pres. Trump rallies and others who held religious services, now when the tables are turned a bit, he is upset.  Again, selective outrage.

Quoting from AMERICA Magazine is like quoting from the NYTimes or Washington comPost, both are liberal rags.  The only difference, one is run by Jesuits.

Another criticism of the USCCB.

Notice that he is quoting CNN.   Another day,, another sacrilege.

Again, attacking a fellow ordained minister.  How does Hyattsville continue to allow this?  Either they do not know or knowingly approve.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 16)

I must say, Deacon Mark Asselin has a HUGE amount of time on his hands, based on the Tweeting he does.  Maybe if he spent more time on work, and not tweeting, the US Treasury and other government agencies would not have been hacked.

So, let's take a look at some of the latest Tweets by him.  And, I am not certain if the good folks down at Hyattsville know about his tweets or not.  Maybe they don't care.  But you would think that the ones criticizing an ordained Catholic would be a no-no, but I guess not.

So in his first tweet, we see him not only attacking a bishop, but we also see him using an "Catholic" media outlet, which was twice asked to remove the word "Catholic" from their masthead.

We have two tweets from him.  (1) Not certain why he retweeted this, other than the Twitter world was jumping all over Rush for saying the believed that we were trending towards secession.   (2) If he really thinks we are getting an intelligent leader in January, he is dumber than he looks.

In our final tweet, we have again more snarky remarks by him.  He really is a mean and spiteful person, that Deacon Mark.   Besides, who really reads TIME magazine these days.

Rest in Peace Deacon Chaput

I received word last night of the passing of Deacon Raymond Leo Chaput on Dec. 7th.

You can read his biography at the Collins Funeral Home website.

May eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.  May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 15)

We continue with the tweets of Deacon Asselin.

Either the folks in Hyattsville do not care or they don't know.   Not certain of which.

However, he is the gift that keeps on tweeting, and so we will continue to highlight them.

So in the first tweet, we continue to see Deacon Mark attack the Republican party and accuse them of attempting to delegitimize the election.

Again, we see Deacon Mark again quoting the NYTimes, like it was the Gospel.

Again, here we go accusing one political party of being despots, but he seems to ignore the Dem Party right under his nose.

I guess he likes to take snipes at a fellow-ordained clergy, who has been accused.  Having known priests who have been accused, this is a horrible thing to make fun of.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 14)

As mentioned earlier, Deacon Mark Asselin seems to have a huge amount of time on his hands.  He tweets anywhere from a few posts per day to almost a dozen.  And most of his posts are political in nature, but I guess with +Gregory at the helm, that is okay.

So, here are the next round of tweets.

In our first tweet, we see some very marked criticism by Deacon Mark of the President.  It is always interesting to see him ignore anything that the left does.

In the tweet below, we see criticism of another ordained clergy.  If he was supporting a conservative, he probably would have been shut down by now.

Again, here we have criticism by an ordained clergyman of the USCCB.  I thought that this was a no-no.

For those of you who remember, these four people not only berated the Republicans in Michigan, but also incited violence against them.  I guess he is okay with that.

Calling someone racist is usually the last gasp of someone who has no other argument.

Not certain why he retweeted Rachael Maddow.  Guess he is supportive of her in her same sex relationship.  BTW, this seems to be a recurring theme in his tweets -- support of same-sex marriage and lifestyle.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part 13)

Well, the Deacon Project will continue as Deacon Mark Asselin continues to be a most prolific poster.  He is the Deacon that keeps on giving.

In the above, I thought that ordained religious were not suppose to take political stances.

He really has the hate for the First Lady, but that is typical of most libs.  Maybe he is jealous.

Deacon Mark just loves to point out violence on one side but not the other.  He seems to have this real bias about it.

Again, in the above, we have Deacon Mark quoting the NYTimes as if it is gospel.

Again, calling out those who want a free and fair election to be acting like a dicatorship.  Seems to forget so many things done by the Democrat Party.

It seems that Deacon Mark just loves it when a "conservative" Catholic is accuses.  Remember, he is innocent until proven guilty.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Bill Maksymiec

Deacon Bill Maksymiec was ordained in 2013 by Cardinal Wuerl.  Currently, he is assigned to the Church of the Annunciation in DC.

As you can see that he does have an account, but it has been dormant for a few years.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part Twelve)

Se we have an additional three images from Deacon Mark Asselin's TWITTER account.

You will note in image two and three that I have asked him to comment upon his comments, and yet he refuses to respond.   You will also note that image two is basically a criticism of a bishop.

For those who do not know, Bayer is one of the most radical left Catholic lay members that I have seen on TWITTER.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part Eleven)

As mentioned earlier, this post and the next few, will highlight the thoughts of Deacon Mark Asselin on TWITTER.  Of course, there will be many in Archdiocese of Washington who will love him for it.

Two things to note:

  • These tweets are not necessarily in date order.
  • If his tweet is unavailable, it is because he deleted it.

Deacon Mark has deleted his tweets but he could not delete my tweets.

In the first image, he accused President Trump of never condemning racism.

In the second image, he stated that there was no evidence that mail-in voting was ever fraudulent.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Mark Asselin (Part Ten)

As mentioned earlier, this post and the next few, will highlight the thoughts of Deacon Mark Asselin on TWITTER.  Of course, there will be many in Archdiocese of Washington who will love him for it.

Two things to note:

  • These tweets are not necessarily in date order.
  • If his tweet is unavailable, it is because he deleted it.

In the first image, his original tweet stated that there was no such thing as election fraud. You can see my reply to him of just one example.

In the second image, his original tweet accused Rush Limbaugh about calling Kamala a "ho."  He wanted everyone to condemn Rush for it.   However, Rush talked about the story on his show of an NBA photographer who did call her a "ho."  All he did was to report on the story and what was said.  A big difference.

In the third image, he makes fun of the St. Louis couple who decided to defend themselves w/ weapons outside of their house.  Again, he did not accurately report on the story.
