IRONY: MCC & NAACP Join Forces on Death Penalty

On January 15, 2013 the Maryland Catholic Conference (MCC) on their Facebook page, a photo of their interns meeting with the NAACP President.  This photo op was due to their opposition to the death penalty.

So here we have a pro-life group, teaming up with a race based, pro-aborition group to abolish the death penalty.

So my question is:  Why would the MCC join forces with a group which supports death sentences to the unborn?

I mean posting a photo on their Facebook page only gives street creed to what the NAACP supports.

Why Does Cardinal Wuerl Participate in Such Things?

Cardinal Wuerl participated in the multi-faith service at the National Cathedral on January 22, 2013.  In fact, according to the Catholic Standard report, he read the second reading.

My question is "Why did he participate?"  I mean, The Most Merciful is doing everything he can to minimize the role of the Catholic Church and to subvert it, some would say even destroy it.

Yet, we participate in it, esp. in the National Cathedral which will preform same-sex marriages.

We need to start making a a bold and powerful statement to politicians that we will not be cowed into participating in these sorts of "blessing of the most merciful."

It is time for our bishops and clergy to stand up to this dictatorship.  The faithful will support you.

Is Etou 21 or is he not 21?

Junior Etou, who is originally from the Congo, is the talk of the town in Washington, DC, where he plays power forward for the Bishop O'Connell High School Knights.

But the 6'7" high school senior, who has drawn interest from several colleges with storied basketball

An investigation by found several different birthdays listed for Etou, both in 1992, which means he is just months away from his 21st birthday.

The site reported that Etou, whose full name is Luc Tselan Tsiene Etou, has appeared on rosters for three Congo-based teams, which list his birthday as being either June 4, 1992 or April 6, 1992.

O'Connell says that they have his passport which shows him to be born in 1992.

Coach Wooten remains silent on this.

A Benefit for St. Joseph House & Isaiah's Promise

These are two good pro-life organizations, both of which I have written about before.
