George Neumayer encounters Matthew Riedlinger (Msgr Rossi's Buddy)

George Neumayer writes:

One of the appalling figures at the center of the Monsignor Walter Rossi scandal is Matthew Riedlinger. A former priest nabbed by police during an underage sting operation, he used to live at Rossi’s Atlantic City beach condo. He was even registered to vote there and to this day gets mail at the condo, according to a mailman with whom I spoke last year. I have previously reported the allegations from well-informed sources within the D.C. archdiocese about him and Rossi: that they were once sexual partners, that Rossi pulled strings with the rapist Theodore McCarrick to make his absurdly checkered boyfriend a priest in the diocese of Trenton (where McCarrick’s crony from seminary days, John M. Smith, served as bishop at the time), that Rossi most egregiously introduced Riedlinger to Catholic University students upon whom he preyed, and that Rossi played a role in trying to suppress the Riedlinger scandal after the freshly minted priest got popped for sending over 1,000 obscene texts to a cop posing as a 16-year-old.

Remember to sign the petition asking CUA President Garvey to investigate Msgr. Rossi and for him (Msgr. Rossi) to step down.  As of this writing, there are about 500 signers.  Let's get a couple of thousand!

Call Upon CUA President Garvey to Investigate Msgr. Rossi

A reader asked me to share this petition.  Normally, I do not share such items, but in this case, I think it is one that needs to be shared.

+++++++++++++++++++

Whereas Monsignor Walter Rossi has been credibly accused of sexual harassment by a former Catholic University of America (CUA) student, we strongly urge President John H. Garvey to open an investigation to determine the veracity of these allegations. In the meantime, we call on Monsignor Rossi to step down from the CUA Board of Trustees while the result of the investigation is pending.

Where in the World is Fr. Daly? I found him!

After being off of the front pages of the Catholic Standard for a while, and into retirement, it seems that Fr. Daly has appeared once again.

For those of you who do not know, or remember Fr. Daly, I would just like to refer you to some of my previous posts on him:

Another Waste of Newsprint

Catholic Standard Update

It seems that Fr. Daly is on the board of the Association of US Catholic Priests, a dissident organization pushing for the ordination of women (priest and deacons), priestless parishes, among other radical items.

Now, I am not certain what the Archdiocese will do about this, as he is retired and on his own, but I doubt that they will even talk with him about his association with this dissident group.

And you know why they will not do or say anything, because our own Archbishop Wilton Gregory welcomed them with open arms.

ADW +Dorsonville -- More of the Same...

Once again, George Neumayr's piece in the American Spectator, focuses on Archbishop Dorsonville, who is part of the problem with the American hierarchy.

He also states, which is something that I have been saying from the very start, that Archbishop Wilton will do nothing about the problems in this diocese.

Remember, he is a protege of Cardinal Bernadin and spoke oh so glowingly of him in the Catholic Standard.

BTW, my source (thanks Melvin) states that Drosonville, has a very condescending attitude towards many of his priests, seminarians, etc.

Questions Sent to ADW on the McCarrick Fund

A short time ago, I sent an email to the Archdiocese of Washington asking a series of questions regarding the McCarrick Fund.  Below you will find my email.  Not holding my breath waiting for an answer, but who knows, hell may freeze over.

Maybe a couple of you can ask the same or similar questions.

++++++++++++++

Greetings:

I have the following questions for you, regarding the fund used by former Cardinal McCarrick.  I doubt that I will get any response from you, but any response will be published in full, with no edits.

Regards,

A Washington DC Catholic

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When was this fund established?

Where did the funds for the McCarrick fund come from?

Were those funds given specifically for this fund or were they diverted from the general donations or Archdiocesan appeal?

How were monies solicited for this fund?

Can you provide a listing of all monies distributed (who, where, when, how much) in the last 10 years?   If you cannot or will not provide a listing, please explain why?

Has this fund had annual audits conducted?  If not, why not?

Can you provide copies of the audit review for this fund for the last ten years?  If not, why not?

How much money is currently left in this fund?

Is money from the fund, invested and where is it invested?   Who is monitoring/managing this and are they (individual or company) being compensated?  If compensated, what is the compensation?

No Answers on the McCarrick Fund

.- More than one year after the announcement of allegations of sexual abuse against former cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the Archdiocese of Washington has continued to refuse questions about McCarrick’s use of a personal charitable fund.

McCarrick funnelled hundreds of thousands of dollars through what was known as the Archbishop’s Fund, and reportedly made gifts to senior Vatican officials, even while the fund remained under the charitable auspices of the archdiocese.

Senior sources close to the Archdiocese of Washington have confirmed that archdiocesan records include the names of individuals, including senior Vatican figures, to whom McCarrick made payments from the fund.

But the Archdiocese of Washington has declined to disclose sources, sums, and uses of money, though it has acknowledged that the fund exists.

Watch the Shrine's Communication Director do the "I know nothing" dance.

Watch what happens when George Neumayr speaks to Ms. Jacquelyn Hayes, Communications Director of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception about his supposed ban and the actions of Monsignor Walter Rossi.

She does the "I know nothing" dance really well.

BTW, notice how she keeps saying how she "wants the truth."  Personally, I don't believe her.

Archdiocese Appeal - It Does Not Look Good!

As I had reported earlier, donations are down in the Archdiocese of Washington.

As you may (or may not) recall that the 2019 Appeal has a goal of raising $14.3 million.

To date, the Campaign (as Melvin like to call it) has received pledges of $8.89 million from 23,465 donors.

What does this mean?

Well, it means that the Archdiocese has reached only a little over 62% of their goal.  It also means that only 38.5% of possible donors have given.

This is a HUUUGE drop from last year.

In 2018, the Appeal raised over $14 million from 39,000 donors.

I guess they really need to find a couple of fundraisers asap!

Question:  Do you think that Archbishop Gregory will get the message?

Can You Raise $$$? The Archdiocese of Washington Needs You ASAP!

Not only has the Archdiocese of Washington has seen donations, esp. among many big donors, go down, they also seem to have a hard time finding people to fill the slots dealing with fund raising.  Trust me on both.

Below you will find two images showing the open jobs.  However, even though the date shows that the jobs have been open since early July, they were actually advertised in mid-June.  They just repost every few weeks.

Now, it is my understanding (thanks Melvin), that the jobs pay very, very well.  But it seems that they are having a hard time (thanks again Melvin) finding people to fill them.   Oh, and don't think that they have not looked internally but that is another story for another day.

So, if you are looking for a fundraising position, one that helps keeps those who cannot keep their vows, and those who protect them, in positions of authority and comfort (aka Msgr. Rossi and Archbishop Wilton), then there is a job for you in Hyattsville.

PS:  Thank you George Neumayr!  He has done fantastic work bringing to light the corruption in this Archdiocese.  If you can help him out:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/george-neumayr039s-journalism-fund

No Comment from the National Shrine re Msgr. Rossi

I wrote to the National Shrine three times (June 22, June 27 and July 2) regarding Msgr Rossi.

Other than the canned response ("Thank you for interest in the National Basilica...), there has not been a peep out of them.

Of course, I did not expect them to reply, as is typical in this Archdiocese.  The MO is always: Do not reply, keep silent and this will pass.  Unless, they are caught red handed, as in the case of what they did to George Neumayr, or when Cardinal Wuerl lied about knowing what Cardinal McCarrick did.

(Oh, and none of us -- Melvin, his wife, etc. -- believed Cardinal Wuerl when he was first questioned about McCarrick.  Just because you did not see the legal documents, does not mean you did not know what was going on.  Just a matter of semantics.)

Of course, I expect that Archbishop Gregory will likewise remain silent.  Why not, it was due to their (Msgr. Rossi and himself) that his benefactors (McCarrick and Wuerl) helped to get him to where he is.  Why rock the boat?

St. Mary's Church - Charlotte Hall, MD (Part I)

I was down on some personal business in Southern Maryland, and came upon St. Mary's Church in Charlotte Hall.   Someone told me that this was the poorist parish in the entire Archdiocese.

As most Catholics in this Archdiocese never get down this way, I thought that I would share some photos with you.

Here are some photos of the current church.

Seems that Msgr. Rossi and his team lied! Will Archbishop Wilton do anything?

You remember this story from a few days ago, when I helped to get the word out about what they did to George Neumayr.

It seems that Msgr. Rossi and his Director of Security, Veronica Camp, lied to George Neumayr in regards to his being barred fro the Shrine.

And you know what, Archbishop Wilton Gregory won't do a damn thing about it.  I have been saying this from the beginning.  He is "in bed" with the lavender mafia and won't do a damn thing to stop them.

You can read all about it here.

The Silence on McCarrick

My friend Melvin and I were talking about what you can read below this past weekend regarding McCarrick.   Where is he?  Who is paying for his room and board?  Why have the bishops remained silent about this?

Melvin believes that McCarrick is back here in the Archdiocese, staying at one of the Catholic retirement communities.

McCarrick has never publicly admitted his guilt in the face of the overwhelming evidence of his crimes. He has not asked forgiveness of his victims, not made monetary reparations to them for the grave harm he inflicted upon them. He remains in a Kansas Capuchin friary adjacent to a parochial school as a non-paying guest; his expulsion from the priesthood has not resulted in any change in his Church-provided living arrangements.

This is remarkable. How many other forcibly laicized priests found guilty of sexually molesting young men would be given this consideration? Why has he not been shown the door and told to come clean by the Holy See or the Bishop of Salina or the Capuchin superior?
