Priest and Deacon Removed from Ministry (October 2023)

Both a priest and deacon were removed from ministry in October 2023 due to alligations.  This was announced only in the affected parishes and the Catholic Standard.  I would bet that 99.9% of Catholics in the Archdiocese know nothing about it.

Here is the article from the Standard.

The Deacon Project - Deacon Bill Maksymiec

Deacon Bill Maksymiec was ordained in 2013 by Cardinal Wuerl.  Currently, he is assigned to the Church of the Annunciation in DC.

As you can see that he does have an account, but it has been dormant for a few years.
