Katherine and the other folks who run the "catholics for the Most Merciful, Lord High Barack Obama" blog, seem to love to post anything that any Catholic bishop or priest that seems to support him. However, they seem not to have posted that story or even my comment with that story.
I guess it doesn't just fit in with the hope and changey thing.

You need to read the bishop's letter. They continue their historic position of supporting health care for all (socialized medicine, as you call it). And good for them.
They ask for additional pro-life language. Pro-life amendments have been made in order for both the House and Senate floor for an up or down vote. There will be a chance to add them.
I hope they pass. If they do, then we have a fine health care bill the bishops will support.
If they fail, there are probabaly then the votes to pass the rest of the health care bill.
Either way, we are going to get national health insurance.
