Someone to Vote Against in the Next Election

A reader sent me a copy of an email received from the District 18 Democrats (Richard "Homosexual Rights" Magdaleno, Al Carr, Jeff "Pro-lifers are extremists" Waldsteicher and Ana Sol "There are no illegals" GutiƩrrez).

The email focuses on her support of education and in it she states:

Throughout our term, Senator Rich Madaleno, Delegate Al Carr, Delegate Jeff Waldstreicher, and I have fought for our schools, our teachers and--most importantly--our students. Working together, we have:

Helped close the achievement gap by making sure all students are taught by the highest quality teachers (1);
Led the fight against giving taxpayer dollars to religious private schools by actively opposing the BOAST Bill (2);
Provided record funding for K-12 public education every year for the past four years, including the much-needed Geographic Cost of Education Index (GCEI) in additional state funding (3).

Yes, Catholics...how many of you have supported them in the past? Will you continue to support them? Do you like to be double taxed?

The Maryland Catholic Conference which has partnered with her in their support of illegal aliens. It is my hope that they drop their support of her on this and all other issues until she comes around to support Catholic schools. Our schools are closing and she is helping to close them.

Let's remember them in November and throw them out on their butts.

Catholic School and Their Teachers -- A Calling, Not Just a Profession

When I arrived home last night, the front page of the Gazette ran a story on Catholic Schools Week featuring a number of the local schools in Montgomery County. This is of course in commemoration of Catholic Schools week. (Note: The paper version is much longer than the online version.)

However, the one thing that is missing from the article: How much money Catholic schools save the state and the county each and every year. It is estimated that each child costs the State of Maryland apx. $10,000. A school of three hundred children saves a whopping $300,000.

Yet, Rep. Ana Sol Gutierrez (who also represents the illegal alien constituency in Mont. County), Rep. Jeff Waldreicher (a proud member of NARAL) and Sen. Richard "Legalize Marriage for Homosexuals" Madaleno Jr. refuse to even support a couple of small tax breaks for Catholic school teachers and supporters.

It is time that the Archdiocese of Washington and the Maryland Catholic Conference (MCC) draw a line in the sand and says "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH." Either support us or we will do everything we can within the law to encourage our faithful not to vote for you.

It is time you stood up to them. You may be surprised at the support you may find.

What have you got to loose? At this point, not much.

MCC Legislative Activity for Non-Public Schools - Part III

As in the last two postings, I have been discussing my take on the MCC Legislative Activity for Non-Public Schools. So, let me continue my take on our Delegates.

Rep. Ana Sol Gutierrez has never attended one of the Non-Public School Meetings. To me, she seems to care more about illegal aliens (not "undocumented immigrants" which is the PC version used by the Maryland Catholic Conference) than about citizens. She is looking for that illegal alien vote in Mont. County and that is not too difficult to get with the ways the election laws are structured and their enforcement. If I am correct, has never supported any of these pieces of legislation. (However, if I am wrong, please let me know and I will set the record straight.) Do you really think she is going to start now?

Rep. Jeff Waldreicher is new to the delegation. During the primaries, I received a piece of campaign literature from him at the local metro stop. (For those who don't know, Metro is like the NYC Subway, only on a much smaller but more expensive scale.) It stated that he intended to keep abortion safe for all women and called all of those on the Pro-Life side, "radical extremists". In addition, he is the Chair of NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland. Do you really think he is going to give tax breaks to Catholic schools in Maryland?
