FOR SHAME "Catholic" Health Assn and Sr. Keehan!

The Catholic alliance that defied the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop a in supporting Barack Obama’s controversial overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system is persisting in its close relationship with the president, giving him a venue to further endorse ObamaCare at its annual meeting. 

Obama will “focus on the future of health care and the Affordable Care Act,” when he delivers the “Future of Healthcare Address” June 9, closing the Catholic Health Association’s (CHA) annual membership meeting and marking the organization’s 100 anniversary. 

It is time to let Sr. Keehan know that this is UNACCEPTANBLE!

Maryland Catholic Conference: Supporting the Destruction of the Constitution and a Despot?

With the Republican Party taking over the Senate, winning additional seats in the House of Representatives, as well as, the Governorship of Maryland (and other states), Obama (does not deserve the title of the President of the United States, as he vacilates between Tyrant and President of a Banana Republic) has decided to take Executive Action on illegal aliens.

If the Maryland Catholic Conference (MCC) decides to support this action, then I am condeming them as supporters of the destruction of the Constitution and of a TYRANT.

Yes, you read it correct:  The Maryland Catholic Conference is willing to destroy the powers enumerated in the Constitution and support a Tyrant, for a policy which most Americans (and I bet most Catholics) do not support.

The MCC is out of touch, a failure and needs to be disbanded.

Does Obama have a problem using the word "GOD"

It seems that we are facing the fact that the Most Merciful, All Knowing, President Barack Obama has left out the phrase "under God" from his reading of the Gettysburg Address on this the 150th Anniversary.

You will notice, that he pauses, which leads me to believe that it is there (and he knows it is there) but deliberately leaves it out.

Why? 

I believe that by removing GOD, and doing it on a regular basis, you get people into the habit of thinking that GOD is not the most important person in our lives -- the STATE is. 

And that is where he wants to take us -- that the STATE is the arbiter of all things, not GOD.

Archdiocese: Gov’t Engaged in ‘Conscious Political Strategy to Marginalize and Delegitimize’ Catholic ‘Religious Views

The Archdiocese of Washington (HOORAY!) is suing the US Government on the basis that the:  Obama administration is engaged in a “conscious political strategy to marginalize and delegitimize” Catholic “religious views on contraception by holding them up for ridicule on the national stage.”

According to the lawsuit:

The record, moreover, establishes that the mandate was part of a conscious political strategy to marginalize and delegitimize plaintiffs’ religious views on contraception by holding them up for ridicule on the national stage,” says the archdiocese’s memorandum.

“Likewise,” the memorandum continues, “the original definition of ‘preventive service’ was promulgated by an Institute of Medicine Committee that was stacked with individuals who, like Defendant Sebelius, strongly disagreed with many Catholic teachings, causing the committee’s lone dissenter to lament that the committee’s recommendation reflected the other members’ ‘subjective determinations filtered through a lens of advocacy.’”

 “This anti-religious bias,” says the memorandum, “is further confirmed by the fact that it was directly modeled on a California statute, see 77 Fed. Reg. at 8726 (explaining that the federal Mandate was modeled on state law); … whose chief legislative sponsor made clear that its purpose was to strike a blow against Catholic religious authorities: ‘59 percent of all Catholic women of childbearing age practice contraception.’ ‘[88] percent of Catholics believe . . . that someone who practices artificial birth control can still be a good Catholic. I agree with that. I think it’s time to do the right thing.’” -

Catholics Denied Mass...Why Is Cardinal Wuerl Silent?

Father Ray Leonard serves at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia but because of the government shutdown, he wasn’t allowed to go to celebrate Mass this past weekend.

He is contracted by the Defense Department to meet the spiritual needs of Catholics, but not now. The chapel doors were locked and the sign said, “Shutdown: No Catholic service till further notice.”

Father Leonard said the following:

“This is our church, Catholics have an expectation and obligation to attend Mass and we were told, ‘No you can’t go to church this week…“ My parishioners were upset. They were angry and dismayed. They couldn’t believe that in America they’d be denied access to Mass by the government.”

Why Does Cardinal Wuerl Participate in Such Things?

Cardinal Wuerl participated in the multi-faith service at the National Cathedral on January 22, 2013.  In fact, according to the Catholic Standard report, he read the second reading.

My question is "Why did he participate?"  I mean, The Most Merciful is doing everything he can to minimize the role of the Catholic Church and to subvert it, some would say even destroy it. 

Yet, we participate in it, esp. in the National Cathedral which will preform same-sex marriages. 

We need to start making a a bold and powerful statement to politicians that we will not be cowed into participating in these sorts of "blessing of the most merciful."

It is time for our bishops and clergy to stand up to this dictatorship.  The faithful will support you.

The intolerant left wins again...

Once again, the pro-gay and pro-abortion forces have won a small skirmish in the war on faith and morals.

We already saw that the Most Merciful decided he wanted a "secular" person to give the opening prayer at his immaculation.  Now, a pro-family pastor is no longer giving the closing prayer.

The catholycs for Obama crowd must be really proud of themselves.

Happy New Year (Sort of..)

Well, we have begun 2013.

This will be a very rough year for the Roman Catholic Church. 

The Most Merciful Barack H. Obama and his allies, will continue to do whatever they can to destroy the Church and her faith. 

They already have a 5th column within the Church, such as those who supported Obama fully, and those priests and religious who really do not live their faith.

I expect that most Catholic hospitals, like Holy Cross, will remove their Catholic affiliation to remain open. 

Many Catholic schools will sell out and remain Catholic in name only. 

The Washington comPost has already identified who they will side with.  Their yearly list of "INs and OUTs."  In it, they had the "bishops" as OUT and "nuns" as IN. 

You know that this will be a rough year.

 

Dissent Again At Holy Trinity! Is Hyattsville paying attention?

"Bishops may be unhappy about the contraception mandate, but they have only 200 votes in this election," was the view expressed by Father Reese.

After an article in the parish bulletin praising President Obama for Obamacare, and which made no mention of the mandates which go against our faith, Fr. Reese speaks about how the Bishops are just looking for an excuse to oppose Obamacare.  He even suggest that they should be very happy with the mandate and exceptions.

Hyattsville, maybe it is time to strip Fr. Reese of his faculties in the Archdiocese! Maybe it is time to put their foot down about Holy Trinity. 

This sort of stuff has really got to stop. I mean you guys had no problem w/ Fr. Marcel, why are you not doing it with Fr. Reese.

Catholics for Common Sense - A Potemkin Village

Man, the Obamacons are becoming more desperate each and every day, and the crew over at Catholycs for Obama blog are doing everything to protect THE ONE.

So the Kathleen and crew have proudly announced that "Catholycs for Common Sense" have endorsed THE ONE, THE MOST MERCIFUL ONE.

So, who are these Catholycs for Common Sense.

Well, they have a webpage (only one page - looks like a simple powerpoint image) with an email address.  We know they have a spokesman, a Michael McGonigle.  But that is it.

• No listing of a Board of Directors.
• No listing of Officers.
• No listing of massive amounts of names of Catholyc supporters.

So, what does this all mean.

They are doing whatever they can to put up a Potemkin Village to fool you.  Doesn't cost much to do and maybe they can fool a couple of more people.

Don't be fooled.

HHS Mandate and Little Sisters of the Poor

Many us in the Archdiocese, know the Little Sisters of the Poor because of the Jeanne Jugen Residence fin Northwest DC.   In fact, I wrote about the famous visitor they had one year. 


We know that they do wonderful work, but are very quiet about it.  They are one of many shining examples of Pro-Life work!

So, what does the HHS mandate do to them?  They can either violate their faith or pay hefty fines.  And, you would be surprised by the vast amount of money they would have to shell out, just for one small residence.

Catholic Humor for a Friday...

This is the story of the blonde flying in a two-seater airplane with just the pilot.

He has a heart attack and dies. She, frantic, calls out a May Day.
"May Day! May Day! Help me! Help me! My pilot had a heart attack and is

She hears a voice over the radio saying:

So, Saturday night I went to see 2016 and I am glad I did.  Take a friend.

I had forgotten about the Dinesh D'Souza article and remembered, how right he is.  However, the documentary takes the article and really puts it into context, now that time has passed.

I won't tell you the conclusion about it but it makes total sense.

CUA Trustee is top Catholic for Obama Supporter

It seems that a member of the Catholic University of America Board of Trustees is also one of the top Catholic for Obama supporters.   According to their website:

Attorney Mark Tuohey III is a partner for Brown Rudnick in Washington, D.C. Tuohey is currently the Vice Chair of Fordham University Board of Trustees and a member of the Catholic University of America Board of Trustees, as well as the Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good Board of Directors.

Now does that not beat all.  

Here we have one of the key supporters of the man who will force Catholic institutions, such as CUA, to fund abortions and contraceptives against their will, on the Board of Trustees.

It is time for the CUA President, Archbishop Wuerl, Msgr. Rossi and all the others to ask Mr. Tuohey to resign from the Board of Trustees.  If he refuses, then he should be forced off the Board.
