Catholics, on the other hand, were plus-2 for Obama in 2012 and plus-7 for Trump this year. Evangelicals helped Trump in states he was mostly going to win anyway. Catholics? Now we’re talking about Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. And that was the election.
It nearly didn’t happen.
Trump’s outreach people were tone-deaf about Catholic voters. They were putting their eggs in baskets marked Evangelicals, African-Americans and Hispanics. Catholics were of secondary importance.
But one Catholic leader, Deal Hudson, didn’t believe this, and he single-handedly organized a big-name Catholic Advisory Committee, a conference call with state campaign directors, a conference call between Trump and Catholic leaders, a tweet and video from Trump when Mother Teresa was canonized and an interview with Trump on the Catholic EWTN television network.

Finally, be wary of candidates who assume to take upon themselves the role of defining what Catholics believe or should believe. Unfortunately, the vice-presidential debate revealed that the Catholic running for the second highest office in our land is an orthodox member of his party, fulling embracing his party’s platform, but a cafeteria Catholic, picking and choosing the teachings of the Catholic Church that are politically convenient.

Satan is no idiot. He has successfully convinced most Catholics that moral issues are political issues. And in so doing he has successfully shut down a huge amount of moral exhortation and reflection. This is especially true in a political season such as this, when the distinctions between the candidates on critical moral issues could not be clearer or sharper.

Now you would think that a Roman Catholic priest would not be actively supporting a pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage politician such as Hillary, but I am wrong.
It seems that Msgr. Charles V. Antonicelli, Pastor of the Church of the Annunciation, is a supporter of Hillary "Never Met an Abortion I Did Not Like" Clinton. He has donated over $500 to her campaign in the last few months.

One of the thing the supporters of the Most Merciful, Lord High Barack Obama do not tell you is the full story about Sec. of State Hillary Clinton's visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. They all seem to latch on to the fact that she received a "blessing" from the rector -- although the stories that I have seen do not indicate it.Of more importance, is her gaffe. From CNA:Msgr. God reminds her about the Mother of God and about Himself, yet she remains clueless and even adds insult to injury by receiving an award from the most radical, pro-abortion group in the country. But not only do the supporters of the Most Merciful, Lord High Barack Obama ignore this ignorance, they further look the other way when she receives an award named after a noted eugenicist. It reveals many things about Obama, Hillary and their supporters.

A San Francisco city and county board resolution that officially labeled the Catholic church's moral teachings on homosexuality as "insulting to all San Franciscans," "hateful," "defamatory," "insensitive" and "ignorant" will be challenged tomorrow in court for violating the Constitution's prohibition of government hostility toward religion.Resolution 168-08, passed unanimously by the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors two years ago, also accused the Vatican of being a "foreign country" meddling with and attempting to "negatively influence (San Francisco's) existing and established customs."
It said of the church's teaching on homosexuality, "Such hateful and discriminatory rhetoric is both insulting and callous, and shows a level of insensitivity and ignorance which has seldom been encountered by this Board of Supervisors."I thought that all of you who have no problem electing homosexual or pro-homosexual politicians, such Sen. Obama, Sen. Clinton, Raskin (MD), Sen. R. Madaleno (MD) may want to think twice. Maybe it is time for a boycott of the City by the Bay.
