Catholics, on the other hand, were plus-2 for Obama in 2012 and plus-7 for Trump this year. Evangelicals helped Trump in states he was mostly going to win anyway. Catholics? Now we’re talking about Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. And that was the election. It nearly didn’t happen. 

Trump’s outreach people were tone-deaf about Catholic voters. They were putting their eggs in baskets marked Evangelicals, African-Americans and Hispanics. Catholics were of secondary importance.

 But one Catholic leader, Deal Hudson, didn’t believe this, and he single-handedly organized a big-name Catholic Advisory Committee, a conference call with state campaign directors, a conference call between Trump and Catholic leaders, a tweet and video from Trump when Mother Teresa was canonized and an interview with Trump on the Catholic EWTN television network.

How Obama bought off the USCCB this election year!

The American Catholic hierarchy is elevating other causes to primacy in place of the life issue, a new report says, “relegating the pro-life ministries to the doctrinal ash heap and committing funds and personnel to promote environmental and migration issues.” 

 “Migration pays very well,” said attorney and international child rights advocate Elizabeth Yore, “pro-life pays nothing.” 

 Thousands of federal grants and contracts come from the Obama administration to the Catholic Church, Yore says in the report, but in particular, hundreds of millions of dollars in fiscal year 2016 alone found their way to the USCCB, Catholic Charities, CRS, and the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), “jaw dropping grants to carry out the Obama agenda.”

FOR SHAME "Catholic" Health Assn and Sr. Keehan!

The Catholic alliance that defied the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop a in supporting Barack Obama’s controversial overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system is persisting in its close relationship with the president, giving him a venue to further endorse ObamaCare at its annual meeting. 

Obama will “focus on the future of health care and the Affordable Care Act,” when he delivers the “Future of Healthcare Address” June 9, closing the Catholic Health Association’s (CHA) annual membership meeting and marking the organization’s 100 anniversary. 

It is time to let Sr. Keehan know that this is UNACCEPTANBLE!

Does Obama have a problem using the word "GOD"

It seems that we are facing the fact that the Most Merciful, All Knowing, President Barack Obama has left out the phrase "under God" from his reading of the Gettysburg Address on this the 150th Anniversary.

You will notice, that he pauses, which leads me to believe that it is there (and he knows it is there) but deliberately leaves it out.

Why? 

I believe that by removing GOD, and doing it on a regular basis, you get people into the habit of thinking that GOD is not the most important person in our lives -- the STATE is. 

And that is where he wants to take us -- that the STATE is the arbiter of all things, not GOD.

The archdiocese of New York, headed by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., headed by Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the University of Notre Dame, and 40 other Catholic dioceses and organizations around the country announced on Monday that they are suing the Obama administration for violating their freedom of religion, which is guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution.

The dioceses and organizations, in different combinations, are filing 12 different lawsuits filed in federal courts around the country.

The Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. has established a special website--preservereligiousfreedom.org--to explain it lawsuit and present news and development concerning it.

The Most Merciful welcomed the Rise of the Tiger. However, many of us who have followed Mainland China (Communist), have understood the harsh reality.

CCHD Funded Obama!

Well, as the Catholic blogs have pointed out, and rightly so, the fact that the Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has been supporting a number of left wing groups and not really the poor.

The Catholic News Service has an excellent article on how CCHD continues to funnel millions of dollars to leftist groups, including (in the past) the darling of the Catholic left, Barack Obama.

Take a look at this story! As the saying goes..."Ain't that a kick in the head!"

In the Archdiocese of Washington DC, our CCHD collection will take place on Nov. 23rd.

You know I won't be giving to it and I urge you to do the same!

Obama's NARAL Catholics

From the Wall Street Journal:

You are the Democratic candidate for president. You want to reach out to Catholics. So what do you do when the majority of the elected officials on your National Catholic Advisory Council have the seal of approval from NARAL Pro-Choice America?That's the position Barack Obama now finds himself in.

A few months ago, his Catholic advisory council was announced with great enthusiasm, and Sen. Bob Casey (D., Pa.) was listed as a national co-chair. His appearance at the top of the council sent a clear message: This campaign is determined to recover some of the lost Democratic sheep who have gravitated to the GOP over abortion.

This council does indeed include some Catholics whose pro-life credentials are impeccable, including Minnesota Congressman James Oberstar. But let us also stipulate the obvious: Of the 21 senators, congressmen and governors listed on the council's National Leadership Committee, 17 have a 90%-100% NARAL approval rating. Even Mr. Casey now enjoys a 65% NARAL approval rating.

It's not as if these NARAL scores are outliers: Sen. Obama himself boasts a 100% NARAL rating, and for good reason. In a speech before Planned Parenthood, he declared that the right to an abortion is at stake in this election, and vowed that he would not yield on appointing judges that would uphold Roe v. Wade.

Mr. Obama is for using tax dollars to fund abortions, and against restrictions on partial-birth abortion. In the Illinois Senate, he voted against legislation protecting a child who was born alive despite an abortion. In sum, if you want to know what Mr. Obama's policies mean, it's this: taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.

So, for all of you "Catholics" in the Archdiocese of Washington DC who support Obama, are you proud of yourselves? Will you continue to support him?

Unfortunately, some of you will.

Maryland Primary - Feb. 12, 2008

Well, the Maryland Primary is almost upon us.

This message is really for my Catholic friends who are registered Democrats.

I really don’t need to talk about Hillary Clinton. We all know her record on abortion, homosexuals, socialized medicine, the military, etc..

But, there are many out there who want Obama. They say he stands for change. He is not Clinton. (Yes, I would agree with that on two counts: he is a guy and he seems to have a real marriage.)

Now, what you may not know is that Obama has a perfect pro-abortion record, although he may make you think otherwise.

Here is what he had to say at the 35th Anniversay of Roe v Wade:

"Thirty-five years after the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, it's never been more important to protect a woman's right to choose... Throughout my career, I've been a consistent and strong supporter of reproductive justice, and have consistently had a 100% pro-choice rating with Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America... I believe in and have supported common-sense solutions like increasing access to affordable birth control to help prevent unintended pregnancies... As President, I will improve access to affordable health care and work to ensure that our teens are getting the information and services they need to stay safe and healthy."

Don’t believe he would say that, no problemo, you too can go to the NARAL website and see the perfect score he has received from them, along with other quotes.

Now, not only does is he 100% in the pro-abortion camp, but he is also a huge supporter of the homosexual agenda. This is a quote from an article in the LAWeekly:

Just before Obama vanished into his motorcade that warm evening last summer, he draped his arms around Bernard and Gifford and asked them if he did them right. Bernard looked at him, "Senator, you always do us right. This time, you did us proud."

Gifford, the urban sophisticate, started to choke up. Not only did he realize he was finally doing something that would matter, but he seemed to be getting results. On that August night, he thought, possibly the next president of the United States was standing there for all to see, literally embracing him and his lover.

So, if you consider yourself a Catholic, then think about what your faith means to you and what it means when you go to vote.
