Georgetown to Honor Biden!

According to the Cardinal Newman Society:

On Wednesday, April 22, Georgetown University Law Center will host an event honoring Vice President Joseph Biden with the “Legal Momentum Hero Award,” in direct violation of the U.S. bishops’ 2004 policy against such honors to pro-abortion politicians.

According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, Biden "strongly support[s] Roe v. Wade.” Biden was the co-sponsor of the oppressive Freedom of Choice Act in the 102nd and 103rd congresses. He also voted for federal funding of Planned Parenthood and embryonic stem cell research, and against parental notification for minors seeking out-of-state abortions, a ban on abortions at military facilities, and a ban on human cloning.

Tomorrow’s symposium is sponsored by the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and Legal Momentum, a women’s rights advocacy group that sharply conflicts with the Catholic Church by promoting “reproductive rights,” advocating same-sex marriage and opposing abstinence-only education programs and pro-life crisis pregnancy centers. Legal Momentum was founded as the National Organization for Women's Legal Defense and Education Fund in 1970.

Vandalism at Pro-Life Demonstration at Geo. Washington University

From the Washington Post (2/3/09):

Crosses used in an antiabortion demonstration at George Washington University were defaced last week, and the school's College Democrats organization has apologized for the vandalism.

The crosses had been stored in a locked office shared by College Republicans and College Democrats. The Democrats issued a statement saying one of their members had admitted responsibility and had been expelled from the group but did not name the alleged offender.

GWU's chapter of the Young America's Foundation, a conservative group, had planted 1,100 small white crosses on university grounds on the anniversary of the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Student Republicans later found drawings and writing in black ink on some of the crosses. One depicted a stick figure of a crucified Jesus. Another, hung upside down, had a condom stretched over it. One had the name of a College Democrats leader.

This story was first seen on Newsbusters.org, which also has a link to Pat Dollard's site showing photos of what was done.

I guess the Most Merciful, Lord High Barack Obama's call for respect did not get very far down Pennsylvania Avenue. But, what else is new with the radical left.

But more important, notice how little play this has gotten. If it was the reverse, there would be calls for sensitivity training, expulsion, restitution.

President Obama Slaps Pro-Lifers in the Face

Well, it seems that on the Anniversary of Roe v Wade, the Most Merciful, Lord High Barack Obama lifted the ban on providing federal funding for non-governmental organizations working outside the U.S. that offer abortions or abortion counseling.

Of course, the media was in compliance with this, by only focusing on GITMO.

Read the last two paragraphs of this article.

Congratulations to all those Catholics who voted for Obama. You have now sentenced millions of innocents to their deaths.

Thanks to the Curt Jester and one of his readers for this.

Roe v Wade is Based on a Lie

That slogan came home to me many years ago, when I read about Norma McCovey (aka Jane Roe). I read about her role in the Supreme Court decision, how NOW and NARAL fawned all over her and made her almost into a saint.

When she converted to Christianity, they dropped her "like a hot potato." Her name seemed to be struck from every document on the topic, every news story, etc. It was as though she did not exist. Then she converted to Catholocism. That really poured salt in their wounds.

According to Catholic Online:

Norma McCorvey appears in her first-ever TV commercial speaking out against abortion, and denouncing her role as “Jane Roe”, the plaintiff in the supreme court case Roe v. Wade, which paved the way for so called “legal” abortion in America

McCorvey states in the television message, “back in 1973 I was a very confused twenty-one year old with one child and facing an unplanned pregnancy. At the time I fought to obtain a legal abortion, but truth be told, I have three daughters and never had an abortion”. She continues with “upon knowing God. I realize that my case which legalized abortion on demand, was the biggest mistake of my life.”

Take a look at it.

Share it.

It will move you.
