+Gregory: A Rumor?

There is a rumor spreading around TWITTER that +Gregory will be tapped to replace +Wuerl, to be part of the group to help select new cardinals.   In part, this would be due to his race.

Now, this would be a mistake for two reasons:  (1) we do not need to put people in positions due to race, we need to put them in because of competency; (2) he is a Bernadin/McCarrick protege.

BTW, +Wuerl is 80 and therefore must step down from the committee, which helps identify cardinals.

Washingtonian Mag's Softball Interview with Archbishop Gregory

The Washingtonian Magazine offers a real softball interview with +Gregory.

When the question of transparency is brought up, he talks about going around and listening to everyone.  That is nice, but there was no follow-up on the Msgr. Rossi investigation (which still has not been announced officially by the Archdiocese).     There is no mention of the latest scandal involving Cardinal Wuerl (see Church Militant on money for the hospital in Rome).

And the best, is when he talks about +Bernardin.   You learned a lot from a sexual predator?

Folks, this is more of the "There is nothing to see here, folks.  And, if there is anything, let's just not talk about it."

ADW +Dorsonville -- More of the Same...

Once again, George Neumayr's piece in the American Spectator, focuses on Archbishop Dorsonville, who is part of the problem with the American hierarchy.

He also states, which is something that I have been saying from the very start, that Archbishop Wilton will do nothing about the problems in this diocese.

Remember, he is a protege of Cardinal Bernadin and spoke oh so glowingly of him in the Catholic Standard.

BTW, my source (thanks Melvin) states that Drosonville, has a very condescending attitude towards many of his priests, seminarians, etc.

You can read the entire article here.

Archbishop Wilton Gregory Needs to Come Clean

In an interview with the Catholic Standard, Archbishop Wilton Gregory said the following:

Archbishop Gregory: “I was very, very fortunate. I was appointed a bishop as a very young man, probably by today’s standards too young. But one of the great graces that God gave me was my 10 years with Cardinal Joseph Bernardin who was the archbishop, who obviously had suggested to Pope John Paul II that appointing a young auxiliary would be something that he would both want and he would use effectively for the care of the people of the Archdiocese of Chicago, and (he) shaped and formed me. He gave me a great example of equilibrium, of the ability to identify with people. I have said this on more than one occasion, he never lost the common touch. For the first year and a half, I was one of his emcees, and I just marveled at how this man could enter into a parish and within five minutes he was talking to everybody, and people felt close to him. I marveled at his ability to reconcile sometimes very divergent opinions, and to model a level of charity and joy that remained with me (as) a great example.”

So, the question I pose to Bishop Gregory is:

  • Did you know about Cardinal Bernadin's homosexual assaults and behavior?
  • Did you know about the fact that an allegation was made against him in the early 1990s?
  • If you did know, why did you not say anything?
In addition, there are questions about Msgr. Rossi that Archbishop Wilton needs to answer.

If you get to see the Archbishop, maybe you can ask him the questions?

The Con Job at the Installation of Bishop Wilton

I did not go to the installation ceremony of Bishop Wilton.

I cannot support him, especially after his description of Cardinal Bernadin, his mentor, in the Catholic Standard.

Did not read it?

Then you missed his description about Cardinal Bernadin's gay liaisons.  Oh, yes, well, Archbishop Wilton did not mention that among other things.  But I bet we will be talking about those things down the road.

However, the Church Militant takes a look at the Cardinals in attendance at his installation.  If you don't know about them, it is an eye opener.

Watch it here -->    Church Militant: Pretty in Red.

Bishop Wilton Gregory -- A DISASTER for the ARCHDIOCESE

We don't need another Bernadin, McCarrick, Wuerl bishop in DC.

I know that this is long but listen to the first 12 minutes of this, to learn how corrupt and deceitful Bishop Gregory is.

Another Corrupt Bishop

CCHD - Don't they get it?

The folks at the Catholic Campaign for Human Development simply don't seem to get it.

After all of the bad press they have received regarding their giving money to non-Catholic groups such as ACORN, but they just don't seem to get it.

Each year, CCHD awards a Cardinal Bernardin New Leadership Award to one young adult Catholic who exemplifies leadership, energy, faith, and a commitment to addressing the root causes of poverty in his or her community. This year, they awarded it to
Stephanie Garza, who works with the Southwest Organizing Project (SWOP) to empower parents as advocates for their families, schools, and communities.

So, even after all that they were criticized for, they decided to give the award to someone who is a not only a "Community Organizer" (her words not mine) for a non-Catholic organization but also assists illegal aliens.

The folks at CCHD are therefore the recipients of the very first "SLAP OFF THE BACK OF THE HEAD AWARD" for not thinking (or maybe they were just trying to thumb their nose at the rest of us.)

Congratulations CCHD!
