+Gregory and Biden - An Ash Wednesday Experience

It seems that on Ash Wednesday, +Gregory gave Biden ashes at The White House. 

According to the Catholic Standard:

Earlier that Ash Wednesday morning, Cardinal Gregory had made a brief pastoral visit to the White House. Knowing the challenges of the president attending an Ash Wednesday Mass at a local Catholic church during a time of heightened security, the cardinal offered to come to the White House and administer ashes to the president, who is Catholic and regularly attends Mass. 

Now, you note a couple of things:

1.  Biden is a Catholic.  No mention of his stance on abortion and how he is in direct opposition to the Church.

2.  There was no mention of +Gregory having a discussion with him on his stance on abortion, nor any mention of him speaking with Biden on that end.   Something that the Cardinal stated he would do, when Biden was elected. 

3.  Did the Cardinal have to do it?  Why couldn't one of he many priests in the diocese go, such as those stationed at St. Stephen's or St. Matthew's?   Could it be for the publicity?

4.  The article leaves out the fact that EWTN asked about the ashes and then about Biden's stance on abortion.  Biden stated that he did not want to get into a discussion of moral theology, before he was pulled away by Jill Biden. 

Once again, +Gregory does not fail to disappoint.  

Holy Trinity, Biden and Holy Communion

 

Well is seems that the Parish Council over at Holy Trinity in Georgetown, known for being part of the liberal wing of the Church, has decided to publicly support Biden in receiving Holy Communion.  

This is really just posing, as they really have no standing on the matter. 

However, I know that Cardinal Gregory will be overjoyed to know of their support.

The signers of a May 13 letter which pressed the U.S. bishops’ conference to suspend its conversation on “Eucharistic coherence” include 47 diocesan bishops, five of whom are cardinals, along with 21 auxiliary bishops.

Of course, +Gregory is one of the Cardinals, as well as, two of our Auxilaries

+Gregory Supports Pro-Abortion Biden - His Latest Shameful Action

 A group of more than 60 bishops has written to Archbishop Jose Gomez this month, pressing for the U.S. bishops’ conference leadership to suspend discussion of the subject of Eucharistic coherence ahead of the USCCB’s June meeting, despite a recent letter from the Vatican’s doctrinal office counseling the bishops to continue discussing the matter. Discussion on the topic was scheduled in March through the ordinary USCCB procedure for setting meeting agendas.

The letter was signed by several U.S. cardinals, including Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington, Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago, and Cardinal Sean O’Malley of Boston.

In confidential interviews, Catholic bishops talk about +Gregory

Although most of the mainstream Catholic media has chosen to ignore this, because it does not necessarily speak well of +Francis, it also does not speak well of +Gregory.

“Worry about the negative spirit and potential damage of the Biden administration was unanimous,” Maier reported.

Biden said Trump cannot be trusted with the nation's nuclear codes. Then Biden told the crowd that he's got those codes right at his fingertips:

Cardinal Wuerl at Notre Dame. What will he do?

Cardinal Wuerl is scheduled to celebrate Mass at Notre Dame and receive an honorary degree.  This at the same time as VP Joe Biden, the highest ranking elected Catholyc, will receive an honorary degree.


Cardinal Wuerl made an issue of Georgetown University and PP.  Will he do something to show that ND is wrong with honoring pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage Biden?


Probably not.

According to CNS:  

Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, reported an adjusted gross income of $407,009 in 2013, from which they contributed 5% to charity, or a total of $20,523, according to their 2013 income tax return, which was released by the White House on Friday.

Among that charity-total — $20,523 – a sum of $15,300 was royalties earned from Jill Biden’s 2012 children’s book, Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops. Excluding those book royalties, the Bidens’ charitable contributions of $5,223 equaled 1.2% of their income.

This is an increase, as he usually gives 0.2%.   

For a man who talks a great deal about compassion, you would think that the would be donating more.

Joe Biden, Mario the Pious and Social Justice

Well folks, after watching the debate last night, there are a couple of things..
 
1.  He talks about Social Justice and yet, a man with his means only donated a couple of hundred  dollars to charity.  I guess that Social Justice begins with YOUR money and not his.
 
2.  As expected, he used the Mario the Pious defense:  "I am opposed but..."  Either you are your faith, or not on right to life issues.  Let's be clear and frank about this (or his he going to laugh about it).  This was made famous by Mario Cuomo in the 1980s, as he looked to obtain a national office.   
 
And on a separate note, the catholycs for obama crowd are so SHAMELESS that they have a photo of Joe Biden with Mother Theresa, as if Mother Teresa would support him.   Remember what Mother Teresa said in regards to abortion: 
 
"It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish."
 
"Any country that accepts abortion, is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what it wants."

Comfortable with same-sex marriage...

By now, you have heard Joe Biden (the highest elected Catholyc in these United States) says that he is in support of same-sex marriage. 

Now, why did he do it at this time?  Well, we know that (1) he and Obama are worried about their re-election and need to shore up the homosexual voters (and their money) and (2) he knows that our Catholic leaders won't do a damn thing to him for it.  Look, if they threw Fr. Marcel under the bus, do you really think that they (Cardinal Wuerl and/or Bishop Malooly) will really put their foot down about Joe Biden.

In addition, did you notice that there was no comment about Sebelius at Georgetown. I wish Georgetown would simply say:  We are no longer Catholic and stop the charade.
